‘Brighter Tomorrow’ at the beach…

‘Brighter Tomorrow’ Oil painting 36″x 48″

There’s gonna be a brighter day. The sun rises and illuminates your spirit, raising you up from your places of sorrow and regret, fear and loneliness, to rejoin the world and the people of it. The glories of nature are a soothing reminder that so long as we are here, there is something to appreciate. Be at peace. Make amends. Try again. Rise up with the new day and live with the wonder and joy you deserve to feel.

This painting made it to Port A Art Center on January 20th along with ‘Big Whoop II.’  Hopefully you will get to see it in person. It is quite striking, with much brighter colors than I usually employ. The impasto on the foam of the wave is the icing on the cake more or less. 😉

Showing the Ropes- Gratitude for teachers

Thanks to everyone who has shown me the ropes through the years. There have been so many of you, and so many ropes, too!

I have completed my Associate of Applied Science in Paramedicine. It has been a two year journey of education and experience with some of the most wonderful people.  My teachers, clinical preceptors, and laboratory organizers have kicked my butt into shape. The paramedics on ambulances who had my back as they let me treat their patients had such grace and kindness as I tried to understand better how to do my job and take care of people.

I have been enjoying working as a paramedic for Emergency Medical Protection Services- a private EMS provider.
